Everybody is popping pills these days. People are taking prescriptions, swallowing diet pills, health vitamins, headache pills to everything possible to fill our bodies with something to “FEEL Better” . Me, no exception. I’m guilty too.
Stress has the world going even more frenzy with indulging into pleasures and distractions to “feel good” and help take away the stress. What we really are asking ourselves for is to dive into an opportunity for inner peace or breakaway, and take away these mental thoughts. That “space” we so cherish that allows us to connect within. The question is , how do we keep that space available at all times?
Grab that Space – Meditate !
When we meditate often, we exercise that muscle like we exercise our physical bodies. We exercise our “awareness” response. Our reaction to “things” and situations” slow down. Meditation gives you that space more quicky to be aware of those reactions, and feelings known as “triggers”. In fact, when we meditate often, we raise our consciousness, heal our emotional bodies, and allows us to react differently when the next “trigger” comes around. We become the “observer” instead of the “doer.”
Daily Dose of Vitamin – The Meditation
How can we supplement our lives for the better? Like that vitamin pill dose many of us pop daily, why not add meditation to the mix? Like the physical routine we do to physically look better, why not work on our emotional and mental states ?
When we clean out the emotional clutter that is stagnant from our past molecular memories and muscles, we can then begin to focus on a new story , a new plan of action= a new beginning. The thing is… we clean out our closets, our cars, our houses, how about our minds?
According to many scientific research studies , meditation has many benefits including decreasing depression, regulate anxiety and mood disorders, stress reduction, enhance gamma brain waves, mental strength, inverse immune system and even help lose weight! Musical Meditation
I have learned through the practice of musical meditation and mantra, the act of No Reaction. I like to think or say “Be Like the Ocean” when something shows up. Musical meditation and chanting mantras allows me to focus on the mantra itself and allow the joy to unveil itself. Its definitely worth a try and an easy practice to get hooked to.
